Indeed, having an “out of money” experience is a more familiar sight these days.

I often hear this from basketball coaches. And then when you get sick, you use your hard earned money to pay for your medical bills. Sometimes, the irony in life is you work so hard to make money while forgetting to prioritize your health. Our greatest enemy is ourselves if we will not take care of our physical well being. Unless you start something to take care of your health, as you age, you may find yourself having health problems in the future if you are not conscious of what you eat or do. Likewise, no diet, no weight loss.You hear the saying, “everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial”. Our greatest enemy is ourselves if we will vote based on popularity or what we can get and not based on the candidate’s credentials. As of this writing, only 3 have formalized their sights on the presidency. Call me biased but we cannot leave our country to the hands of someone who is allegedly corrupt someone whose only claim to fame is her late father who was an icon in the movie industry and still considered an “amateur” in politics. Whether the new government will be successful or not remains to be seen. This spells discontinuity and even change. However, if the majority will not vote for the admin bet, our country would tread on a new platform of government. If we would like to ensure continuity in the government’s “Daang Matuwid” platform, we should vote for Mar Roxas (not to mention that he is the most qualified among those who declared their intentions to run for the top post). We will have our presidential election next year. If we want to effect real change in the following, consider these: What is poignant in this movie is the quotable quote uttered by no less than the main character, “Heneral Luna”: He was also the founder of the Philippine's first military academy, which existed during the First Philippine Republic. He was regarded as the most brilliant of the Filipino military officers during the war. But to those who do not know 'Heneral Luna', according to Wikipedia, Heneral Antonio Luna was a Filipino general who fought in the Philippine-American War. I will not dwell on the storyline as this is already part of Philippine history. The movie heightened the Filipinos’ sense of patriotism and love for country at the expense of self-interest. As of this writing, a movie entitled, “Heneral Luna”, is being shown in its 3rd week in Metro Manila cinemas and nationwide.
